Your Guide to the 2020 Ford Expedition
If you’ve been searching for the perfect full-size SUV for your family, look no further than the Expedition. It has all the power and space you need to make every drive comfortable, whether it’s down the street or across the country. Here’s your guide to the 2020 Ford Expedition.
Power and Capability
No matter which version of the Expedition you opt for, you’ll find a powerful 3.5-liter EcoBoost direct-injection engine with twin air-to-air intercooled turbochargers under the hood. This motor pumps out an impressive 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Surprisingly, this full-size SUV gets a best-in-class EPA-estimated 17 mpg when you’re driving in the city and up to 23 mpg when you take it out on the highway. With its ability to tow a maximum of 9,300 pounds, you’ll be ready for any adventure.
Aggressive Looks
The 2020 Expedition is available in four trim levels, each of which has a standard and Max version. With the Expedition Max trim levels, you get a longer wheelbase. Trim levels are XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum. To further customize your ride, choose an exterior color that suits your style. Some of the most popular options are Magnetic, Iconic Silver, and Burgundy Velvet. Starting at the base trim level, you’ll get exterior features such as a black roof rack and side rails, halogen fog lamps, a bright chrome grille, and black running boards.
Move up in trim levels to gain features like 22-inch six-spoke wheels, a panoramic vista roof, a hands-free foot-activated liftgate, and more. There are also two appearance packages available: Black Accent and Stealth Edition. They add unique elements to the look of your Expedition.
Interior Technology and Comfort
You and your passengers will have no trouble staying connected and comfortable inside the Ford Expedition. Every trim level comes standard with the easy-to-use Sync 3 infotainment system, which is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are four USB ports located throughout the cabin, so you can keep your devices charged and ready to use. The Wi-Fi hot spot ensures you can get online no matter where you go. Optional tech features include wireless charging, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
When it comes to cargo space, the Expedition is king. It boasts 20.9 cubic feet of space behind the third row, but when you fold both the second and third rows down, you get a maximum of 104.6 cubic feet of space. If you opt for one of the Expedition Max trims, the maximum cargo space is increased to 121.5 cubic feet.
Reliable Safety and Driver-Assist Features
Keeping you and your family safe is priority No. 1, which is why you’ll find a number of safety and driver-assist features on the 2020 Ford Expedition. Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard and will help you navigate busy streets with confidence. It includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and a rearview camera with grid lines that makes backing up a breeze.
