War Memorial Park

Today, the Batfish is open to the public for tours, either guided or self-guided. Visitors to the park can also see a self-propelled howitzer, cannons, missiles, and other military artifacts. In fact, there are over 4,000 artifacts on display that relate to the history of the Batfish and Muskogee.

Five Civilized Tribes Museum

Learn more about the art, culture, and history of the five tribes, which are Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cherokee, Muscogee, and Seminole, at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum. You can enjoy exhibits that display traditional art from each tribe as well as new works created for current competitions. See historical artifacts that help relate the way of life for tribal members who first lived in the area. Stop by the gift shop on your way out to pick up prints of your favorite pieces. River Country Water Park

The whole family will have a blast splashing and playing at the River Country Water Park. Grab a tube and enjoy a relaxing float down Willow Creek, the park’s lazy river. Let the kids wear themselves out climbing the stairs to Whoop’n Holler Hollow, where they can take a slide down into Frog Pond. The younger kids will have fun at Crawdad Corner, a water playground designed just for them. Kids of all ages will love the challenge of the Gator Walk, which involves walking across lily pads with only a cargo net to help you.

You can’t bring your own food or drinks into the water park, but concessions are available on-site for purchase.

Castle of Muskogee

Did you know that Muskogee has its very own castle complete with a Renaissance village? It’s true. The owner created this attraction from a warehouse and a field. This 60-acre playground has a torture chamber, a dungeon, catacombs, a clock tower, a jousting arena, and so much more to explore. Many of Muskogee’s annual events are held at the castle, including the Halloween Festival, Castle Christmas, and of course, the Renaissance Festival. Every event has a variety of things going on each day, and you’re sure to want to spend as much time as possible at all of them.
